In the first Class A, Division I semifinal game in Austin Thursday morning, Bronte shook off a sluggish start to defeat Gruver xx-xx. The Longhorns play the winner of Cayuga and Spruger in the championship game at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Gruver led by three at haftime and by five in the third quarter but Bronte got hot near the end of the third quarter and the game was tied in the early moments of the fourth quarter. Bronte then hit two three pointers and from there it was all Longhorns.
Bronte's Dakota Rawls, a 6-5 guard, led the Longhorns with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
